Arrive in Beijing, capital city of China. You will be met by our Asia Journeys' local representative and escorted to your hotel.
Accommodations at the Beijing Doubletree By Hilton Hotel (5*) or similar.

Beijing (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we start our tour to China visiting the world's largest public square - Tiananmen Square. Then, proceed to The Forbidden City, the palace home of the Ming and Qing Dynasty Emperors for over 500 years. After lunch, Enjoy an afternoon visit to a pearl factory where you will learn about the farming and cultivating of pearls in China, followed by a visit to the Temple of Heaven, where China's emperors came to pray for a good harvest. After dinner, enjoy an Acrobatics Show or the amazing show, "The Legend of Kung Fu".

Beijing (B, L, SD)
Today's highlights include an excursion to the Great Wall, an astonishing feat of engineering. On the way, stop to learn about jade, the most popular stone in China. We then visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China. Later, a photo stop will be made for you at "The Bird's Nest", and the "Water Cube" famous venues of the recent Beijing Olympics. Later enjoy a walk along Wang Fu Jing Street and for dinner enjoy a welcome banquet featuring a traditional "Beijing Roast Duck" dinner.

Beijing - Xi'an (B, L, SD)
Board a morning flight to Xi’an, which had been China's capital for 13 imperial dynasties. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to see the world famous Terracotta Warriors which guarded the emperor's burial site for over 2,000 years. Continue to the Ancient City Wall and then visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, which has become the emblem of Xi'an City, built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty. Dinner tonight is an Imperial Dumpling Banquet. Later, attend a "Tang Dynasty show", performing the original music and dancing of the Tang Dynasty.

Xi'an - Guilin (AB, L, D)
This morning take a city tour to the Shaanxi Provincial Museum which holds many ancient treasures. After lunch, transfer to the airport for a flight to Guilin, world-renowned for its scenic beauty. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred for dinner.
Accommodations at the Guilin Bravo Hotel (4*) or similar.

Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin (B, L, D)
In the morning, visit Fubo Hill and the Reed Flute Cave. Then take a boat ride along the beautiful Li River. The countryside has inspired Chinese artists for thousands of years. Along the way, you may even see local villagers in their traditional boats employing cormorants for an unusual way of fishing. Disembark in Yangshuo, where you will have time to browse the bustling West Street of Yangshuo and take in the incredible scenery.

Guilin - Shanghai (B, L)
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Shanghai, the amazing multi-cultural metropolis combining East and West cultures. Upon arrival, you will be met by your local guide and go for a walk along the Bund, the western shore of the Huangpu River, then visit China's most famous shopping street, Nanjing Road, which starts at the Bund in the east and ends at the junction of Jing'an Temple and Yan'an West Road in the west. Dinner is on your own.

Shanghai (B, L, D)
Enjoy a city tour to the Shanghai Museum, China's best and most complete museum, which houses 120,000 cultural artifacts, The Yu Garden, a famous classical garden located in Shanghai's colorful and bustling Old Town and the always exciting Old Shanghai Bazaar. This is followed by a presentation at a silk carpet factory where you will learn the delicate procedures for production of Chinese silk carpets. Later visit one of Shanghai's most famous sights, the Jade Buddha Temple built in 1882, famed for its rare cultural relics, and porcelain artworks carved with whole white jade.
