Your full-day sightseeing today begins at the Cu Chi Tunnels; Cu Chi was an important base during the Vietnam War, because of its strategic location. The Vietcong built a 160 mile long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals and weapon factories. Cu Chi was dug out of hard laterite by hand tools without the use of cement, and was never discovered. Next visit Cholon, its Chinatown, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office and City Hall. And later the War Remnants Museum with collections of weapons, and where photographs from two Indochina wars are exhibited. We also visit Thien Hau Pagoda and the Binh Tay Market, Chonon's main marketplace. |

Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong River Delta (B, L)
Today's full day excursion to My Tho, capital of Tien Giang Province begins with a boat trip on the Mekong River. Cruise along the southernmost region of Vietnam, the Mekong Delta. This area is known as Vietnam's "bread basket" and produces the rice, which feeds the entire country. Visit one or two of the islands with traditional handcrafts, bee farms and coconut candy production.

After breakfast, transfer to airport and depart for Danang. Upon arrival, your sightseeing in Danang includes a visit to the Cham Sculpture Museum. |

Drive from Danang to Hoi An - Sightseeing today in Hoi An includes a boat trip on the Thu Bon River, a visit to the Japanese bridge and the old Chinese Communal House. |

Drive from Hoi An to Hue - Today's highlight is the Old Imperial Citadel. |

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival in Hanoi, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed Monday and Friday and all October to November), the 900 years old Temple of Literature, and the One Pillar Pagoda. Enjoy a Water Puppet Show tonight. |

Saigon to Can Tho (L)
Today you embark on a boat cruise in the Mekong Delta. You will then return on board and proceed to Dong Phu, Binh Hoa Phuoc and An Binh islands located between Vinh Long and Cai Be. Fresh fruit and lunch will be served at a garden house. Continue to Can Tho in the afternoon. The balance of the day is at leisure.

This morning you will first visit the Cai Rang floating market. Enjoy a short walk to see boat building alongside the river then board a small local boat for a river cruise. Return to Can Tho and visit Khmer Pagoda, Can Tho Museum and a local market. After lunch, you'll be taken to an Ancient house and Bang Lang stork sanctuary which is home to thousands of varieties of storks. The balance of the day is at leisure.
